Laura C. Brooks is dedicated to delivering high quality representation while resolving clients’ legal issues as efficiently as possible. Laura constantly evaluates relevant legal strategies and keeps a practical view of how those strategies best serve clients’ interests. She enjoys the challenge of blending the traditionalism of law with innovative thinking and methods. Above all, she values professionalism and the opportunity to build lasting relationships with clients.
One of Laura’s strengths is her experience handling both transactional and litigation matters, which allows her to see legal issues from many angles. She enjoys the ability to handle a simple landlord/tenant dispute one day, and the next day negotiate a contract with a Fortune 500 company. Laura practices in the areas of business and corporate law, employment law, securities litigation, real estate litigation, landlord/tenant disputes, and appeals. She regularly serves as general counsel for businesses and individuals in Arizona, handling everything from day-to-day transactions, pre-litigation disputes, and litigation. She also represents a number of professional athletes, providing general counsel and drafting, reviewing, and negotiating endorsement contracts and other agreements on their behalf.
Laura is an active member of the Arizona Women Lawyers Association where she serves as a member of the Steering Committee, vice-chair of the Professional Development Committee, and member of the Membership and Wine and Cheese Committees. She is also a member of the Business Law and Trial Practice Sections of the State Bar of Arizona, and the Scottsdale Bar Association, Women of Scottsdale, and Arizona State University Alumni Association.
