Laura C. Brooks practices in the areas of commercial litigation, real estate litigation, securities litigation, business and contract litigation, employment litigation, landlord/tenant disputes, appeals, and corporate transactions. Ms. Brooks represents a wide variety of clients, including individuals, corporations, limited liability companies, and other private and public entities.
Ms. Brooks was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona and the District Court of Arizona in 2010. She serves on the Steering Committee and Membership Committee of the Arizona Women Lawyers Association, and is a member of the American Bar Association and Scottsdale Bar Association.
Ms. Brooks received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2010. While in law school, Ms. Brooks was a Comments Editor for San Diego Law Review, an Executive Editor for the Journal of Contemporary Legal Issues, and a teaching assistant for the legal writing program. She received the CALI Award for Law of American Democracy. Ms. Brooks also externed for the Honorable Susan R. Bolton in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, and clerked for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
In 2006, Ms. Brooks graduated magna cum laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, and certificates in ethics and civic education. While at Arizona State, Ms. Brooks was a Junior Fellow in the Political Science Department and instructed a freshman seminar course.
Ms. Brooks was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. She now resides in Scottsdale with her husband, Jonathan.
