John R. Tellier practices primarily in the areas of commercial and employment litigation, as well as securities arbitration. He has also counseled clients on a variety of business and employment related matters, including personnel policies and manuals. Since 1992, he has served as a Judge Pro Tem for the Maricopa County Superior Court and has been involved in alternative dispute resolutions as a private mediator. Mr. Tellier began his legal career with Shimmel, Hill, Bishop & Gruender. He then founded the former Phoenix law firm of Hammond & Tellier, P.C., later known as Hammond, Natoli & Tellier, P.C.

Mr. Tellier received a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Arizona in 1976, graduating with high honors, and was a National Merit Scholar. He earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1979 from Arizona State University where he graduated cum laude and was a member of and Articles Editor for the Arizona State Law Journal.

He is a member of the State Bar of Arizona, and is also admitted to practice in the District Court of Arizona and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Tellier is and has been active in various community affairs, serving as an advisor to a number of charitable organizations, including the Y-Me Breast Cancer Network of Arizona, the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish Council, and the Parent Advisory Board for the Our Lady of Perpetual Help School. Mr. Tellier has also lectured various Bar groups and clients on a variety of topics, including sexual harassment, employment law, and mediation.

Mr. Tellier was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and resides in Scottsdale with his wife Susan and their younger daughter, Sarah.
